The Isle of Hope Historic District is a short drive south of central Savannah. The coastal riverside community was developed over the course of 100 years beginning in the early nineteenth century and was known as a “summering spot”. Established as a historic summer retreat, this remarkable area now features an eclectic collection of cottages and mansions. Residents of Isle of Hope can enjoy nature trails, biking, and a local marina. Isle of Hope’s main attraction is the Wormsloe Plantation which features a mile-long avenue of live oaks. Nearby Sandfly is a trendy spot offering both tourists and residents unique shopping and dining.
